Take the West Virginia Turnpike (I 64/ I 77) to Exit 89 (the Marmet Exit).  Proceed south on Route 94 for seven miles.  (See map below.  The Hernshaw, West Virginia 25107 post office is approximately 3 miles from Exit 89 on Route 94.)  Turn right on the Ashford-Nellis Road (County Highway 1),  then travel 3 tenths of a mile to the pipe gate on the right.  Proceed through the pipe gate on the gravel road for 1.3 miles to the Club.  Look for turkeys, bear, deer and other wildlife along the gravel road.

Hours:

Wednesdays - 12:00 pm-5:00 pm

Sundays - 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

These hours are subject to change based on weather conditions and other unavoidable circumstances such as power outages, etc. 

Volunteers arrive at the club around 10:00 am.  They use this time to open the fields, load the houses, cut grass and open the clubhouse.

West Virginia Clays is equipped with lights that enable us to shoot after dark.  If you or your group would like to shoot after 5:00 pm on Wednesdays or Sundays, you must make prior arrangements with a club officer.  

Club Facilities can be rented and used on days other than listed above, but only with advance notice, payment of appropriate fees  and if enough club personnel are available to properly and safely man the club.
